Rafael Corbalan, Associate
Rafael Corbalan received his J.D., cum laude, with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law in 2015. During law school, Rafael was selected to participate in the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic where he worked on several cases involving the Clean Water Act and the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”). Rafael also interned for the Pace Energy and Climate Center, was selected to represent Pace in the 2015 National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition, and received the 2015 Baker Energy and Climate Change Award.
In addition to his academic and clinical experience in environmental law, Rafael has also worked in other areas of civil litigation during his internships with the Honorable Susan J. Steele in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Law Division; the Blau Leonard Law Group LLC, a plaintiff-sided class action litigation firm; and the Neighborhood Justice Clinic, a program focused on unemployment insurance and tax issues. Prior to law school, Rafael received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
After law school, Rafael clerked for the Honorable James J. DeLuca in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Law Division, where he researched and drafted judicial decisions on pre-trial motions involving a wide range of civil matters.
Rafael joined The Law Office of Howard Davis, P.C., in 2016 and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the Federal District Court of New Jersey.
