Robert J. Gorrie, Associate
Robert Gorrie received his J.D., magna cum laude, with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law in 2012. At Pace, Robert was a finalist in the Grand Moot Court Competition, was selected as a member of Pace's National Moot Court team, and was selected to participate in the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic where he assisted on a variety of matters including bringing Clean Water Act citizen suits and counseling a citizens group regarding the remediation of a Superfund Site. During law school, Robert served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Virginia Long, then Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, where he reviewed, researched and drafted certification memorandums and assisted on bench briefs. Robert also interned for Joshua Stein, PLLC a commercial real estate firm in New York City.
Prior to law school, Robert received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, New York, with minors in Biology, Geology, and English Writing.
Following college, Robert worked as an environmental scientist for ARCADIS U.S., Inc., an international engineering and consulting firm, where he provided environmental consulting services to a variety of public and private sector clients regarding the investigation and remediation of contaminated properties. As an environmental scientist, Robert oversaw a wide variety of environmental investigation and remediation fieldwork, drafted budgets for investigation and remediation services, and drafted regulatory compliance reports.
Since joining the firm in 2013, Robert has successfully assisted clients on a variety of complex environmental legal issues including litigation, environmental compliance, and cost recovery work.
Robert is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
